New York, NY, September 17, 2015—Performance Logic, Inc. (PL), a leader in healthcare-focused project management solutions, today announced that 15 of 25 New York Performing Provider Systems (PPS) have selected Performance Logic PPM (PL PPM), a cloud-based project and portfolio management application, to help manage their Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) programs. Collectively, the PPS’s will be leveraging PL PPM as well as its custom module—Performance Logic’s DSRIP Tracker—to collaborate with as many as 50,000 healthcare providers, hospitals, and community and health organizations across New York State to better address the healthcare needs of over 2.1 million residents.
According to the New York State Department of Health, the DSRIP program will restructure the healthcare delivery system by reinvesting in the Medicaid program, with the primary goal of reducing avoidable hospital use by 25% during the next five years. Up to $7.3 billion is allocated to the program, with payouts based on achieving predefined results in system transformation, clinical management, and population health. A similar program is in place for several states, including Texas, California, and New Jersey.
“We realized early on that a program of this magnitude required a systematic approach to project management to achieve its aggressive goals. Performance Logic provided the most comprehensive platform while also bringing extensive knowledge of both project management and DSRIP to the table,” stated Jose Rosario, Director of IT and Analytics, Finger Lakes PPS.
Performance Logic PPM makes it easy for project teams to collaborate and manage their data effectively, so they can stay on track and achieve their goals. It includes robust project and portfolio management tools, project templates that meet DSRIP tracking guidelines, tools for meeting management and team communications, financial and performance reporting, real-time status dashboards, and a document repository for storing and sharing project-related documents. In addition, DSRIP program performance can be viewed at both the provider and PPS levels in real time.
Performance Logic has also spent the last six months working with its early partners to make changes to DSRIP Tracker to ensure that it is aligned with the program as outlined by the NYS Health Department. These changes make it easy to deliver status updates on milestones, create portfolio level reports that track progress across the PPS, and manage financial tracking for each of the core projects.
“DSRIP Tracker, with its strong collaboration capabilities, will help us communicate more efficiently with our contracted providers and give them an easy-to-use platform for providing updates on their individual progress,” said Robin Moon, Senior Director, DSRIP Care Delivery & Practice Innovations, Bronx Partners for Healthy Communities, SBH Health System.
“We are excited by the strong response in New York to the PL PPM platform and even more excited about the work that the state’s PPS’s have already completed in moving forward with their DSRIP implementation plans,” said Neelesh Shah, CEO and co-founder of Performance Logic. “Within the next 60 days, we will have all fifteen contracted PPS’s live on our platform. We look forward to working with our PPS partners over the next several years as well as using the PL PPM platform as a way to share project management best practices across our entire client base.”
